The Bible is God's Word. It is a complete revelation of what he wanted mankind to know about him. Contrary to what you may have heard or been told, all we need to know is contained in the 66 books of the bible. It is most important to know that the Bible contains no inaccuracy or any errors at all. Some people pick and choose verses that they agree with and discard others they disagree with. This is opposite of what the Word of God teaches. All Sciptures is given by God, not just the parts you may agree or disagree with.
"But as for you, continue in what you have learned and what you have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus". "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be throughly equipped for every good work". 2 Timothy 14-17
